WHO WE ARE

The idea for Barlows Tree Services started when a big cyclone hit Rockhampton a few years ago. Brenton, our owner, saw that he could be of help to local homes and businesses if he can give them access to affordable tree services during such times.

So that’s what Brenton did. He employed a handful of trained, experienced and qualified arborists and since then has provided locals with personalised, efficient and cost-effective tree services.

Our business believes in putting our customers’ needs and wants first. We perform jobs in a professional and efficient manner, while remaining friendly and accommodating. We understand that communication is key, so we check in with you throughout the project, making sure you’re updated of any progress.

And we believe it comes down to our consistent adherence to risk assessment and safe work practices. We undergo regular training and our owner provides the team with advice, monitoring and supervision, to ensure we’re evolving and improving where necessary, all while maintaining a safe workplace.

Barlows Tree Services is searching for 2 skilled and motivated Groundsman to join a fast-paced, close-knit crew based in Rockhampton servicing the Capricorn Coast and beyond.

We are one of the largest tree removal companies in the area and providing and specialising in a range of domestic and commercial tree services including tree trimming & removal, stump grinding, land clearing, storm recovery, council projects, and civil clearing projects.

You will be an essential part of our tree crew, safely operating specialised equipment to trim, remove and maintain trees.

Be part of a team that takes pride in completing all our work to a very high standard and work alongside some of the best and most experienced Tree Climbers/groundsman on the Capricorn Coast.

We are seeking individuals that can hit the ground running, a hard worker, a solid work ethic, and a desire to be part of something bigger.

Qualifications:

• White Card (OHS) - Mandatory

• MR/HR truck license - Highly Desirable

• Chainsaw Ticket desirable

• Driver's License

• Chipper & Chainsaw Experience valued but not essential

• Availability to start ASAP

Here’s What You’ll Be Doing:

• Operating and learning specialised machinery

• Working across schools, private residential work, road projects and more

• Assisting in Queensland disaster recovery efforts (with bonus incentives)

• Reporting directly to the business owner in a flat, hands-on leadership structure

• Willingness to travel across Cap Coast and complete occasional away-from-home jobs (only a couple of times per year)
